Robust shaftless screw conveyors with basalt insertion
For conveyors intended for the transport of very abrasive materials (slag, glass, bed ash, fly ash, aggregates, sand, corundum, etc.) into steel or steel. RATAJ® stainless steel spiral conveyors (Types RLE, RLNE) are fitted with basalt inserts. The thickness of these inserts is 20 mm and they are supplied "tailor-made" according to a specific design of the conveyor in the form of a trough or pipe. The temperature resistance of the basalt inserts is up to about 400 °C.
In some cases it is possible to operate these conveyors for a short period of time without the conveyed material, further to convey materials that are easily compacted to form glued and hard crusts. plastic inserts easily removed.
